The Virginia Computer Institute is responsible for the design and installation of the Voice, Video and Data components of the project.
Manassas Park High School was initially completed in 1999. The school district has experienced rapid growth. The addition is a 35,000 sq. ft., three-story facility that was completed in 2004. The addition increases the school's capacity from 650 to 850 students. The addition extends toward the student parking lots and will provide enclosed access to the school. The addition repeats the detailing and scale of the previously built Manassas Park High School.
The addition provides increased space for building services and a covered, screened service drive for deliveries. The ground floor houses a new art room, music room and guidance suite. The second and third floors hold primarily instructional spaces, with eight regular classrooms, six full-size labs, and teacher offices.
